The SARISTI project, which started in December 2016 and concluded in September 2017 in Athens, Greece, was driven by the elements of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. The design team, led by Creative Director Antonia Skaraki, sought to create a modern twist on dry tea packaging that would appeal to all ages and tastes. The result is a harmonious design that reflects the brand's herbal infusions.
The packaging's unique properties lie in its innovative use of colors and shapes. Each color represents a specific mood, while the animals featured on the packaging symbolize emotions and conditions often experienced by people. For example, flamingo birds represent love, while the panda bear signifies relaxation. These elements, combined with the natural and physical posture of the animals, strengthen the typology and promote the ingredients of each blend.
The design was realized using paper with gold blocking, resulting in a product that is pleasant to touch and beautifully colored. The cylindrical container measures 15 x 6.2 cm, offering a modern and attractive packaging solution for the brand's herbal organic tea blends and infusions.
The SARISTI project was not without its challenges. The design team had to find and connect the ideal colors and animals with each infusion and its drastic features. However, their efforts paid off when the design won Silver in the A' Packaging Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
In conclusion, AS ADVERTISING's SARISTI project is a testament to the power of innovative design in transforming everyday items. By incorporating elements of color, shape, and symbolism, the design team created a packaging solution that not only stands out on the shelf but also resonates with the brand's philosophy of well-being.
